Not Really An Autumn Walk

The other night Jonathan and I decided to get out of the house to go explore what we thought might be a lovely evening for viewing the changing colors in the trees. It truly was a relaxing and enjoyable stroll minus the pretty colors we were hoping to see. Of course there were a few spots here and there showing evidence of autumn but right now things are still looking pretty summerish.
Regardless it was a perfect excuse to spend some time with my dreamy husband! ;)
Agreeably a dog seemed to have found my husband a perfect match as well and wanted Jonathan all to himself to play fetch. It's sort of weird because dogs just seem to be drawn Jonathan.
In the end I discovered a perfect stick that I insisted on taking home. Jonathan found it to be quite ridiculous but with a little begging he agree to allow me to take it back with us in the car.
Though it might be true that the stick is a little silly but for now I proudly have it on display in a vase in my dinning room. It probably won't last long but currently I think it brings a a certain je ne sais quoi to the table.
 Haha!

Sounds like a great way to spend some quality time together.
I love your stick, it looks great in the vase, I wouldn't have thought to do that

What a beautiful trail! I've seen a few DIYs that use tree branches! I think it looks great on your table! -Jessica L

Well, at least it was cool enough for you to wear long sleeves! Around here, in Tennessee, the leaves change color about two days before they fall to the ground. Fall just doesn't last long enough!

By the way, I love the title of your blog! Honey, in my opinion, is it's own food group. I always have about 10 pounds of it on hand...just in case those bees stop producing. :o)
