Most of my friends and family know that Jonathan and I will be moving to a new city next weekend. These plans have been in the makings for a while now but it's now finally starting to set in. We've begun to pack and we are having a small farewell party tomorrow. It's becoming almost too official.
After a short rainfall yesterday evening I decided to walk down our familiar back alley to see if I could snag a few flowers that sometimes spill over from neighbouring yards. I figure if the flowers are growing in the alley then they must be free for the taking. It was during this very quick walk that I began to realize how much I'd even miss this alley. It's not the pretties of places but it's always filled with characteristic items and thankfully lots of flowers.
But isn't that what life is about, making room in your heart for new places, memories and friends.
On an unrelated note while I was looking for some flowers I took a photo of myself in a dress I made from my earlier spring collection, The Honey Line. It's one of the few pieces I kept and I find I wear this dress a lot. Very simple but super comfortable.
