Riding a Bike in a Dress

I promise not to fill this blog with silly bike post as I know it's not exactly the most thrilling read for your guys. Yet this weekend after deciding to conquer the dress v.s. bike battle I think I may have found my weapon of choice to avoid flashing on coming traffic. Since I prefer skirts and dresses during the summer I figured this would be something worth sharing with you guys. I mean it is pretty life changing...
You see I live in a rather windy city and often times it can be rather dangerous to go out in a skirt or dress. This past Sunday morning though I noticed there was only a slight breeze and decided I would ride my new bike to church in a dress. After trying out the combination I discovered that even with no wind the speed of the bike caused an updraft and I still faced the same situation. I quickly retreated back to the house and discovered the ultimate solution, bike shorts. I just slipped these babies on and they fixed the whole problem. Best part is you couldn't even tell I was wearing them.
   Lives saved? I think so!

Ingenious! I was supposed to go on a cycling trip yesterday (but Sunday afternoon laziness got the better of me) but I was stressing over the fact that I only really wear skirts and they lead to far too many Marilyn Monroe biking moments :) Will definitely be investing in a pair of bicycle shorts. PS: Your bike is so pretty :)
