The Beauty of Embroidery

Awhile back I had decided to pick up the needle and thread again and attempt some hand embroidery just for the fun of it. Here's a post I wrote about it awhile ago. For a few weeks I got a good kick out of it and enjoyed making random little items. But this is a hobby that requires a lot of free time and so with school and work I had to put it on the back burner and focus on more important projects.

I was browsing through some Etsy shops today and after seeing some breath taking work I'm feeling inspired again to pull out my hoop and thread again. I really would like to be able to create artwork like these artists. For now I can only drool!

Check out these incredible items and their stores!

That dress is stunning! It makes me want to give embroidery a shot but like you said, school and work get in the way of fun hobbies a bit! Maybe after I graduate and knock school off my to do list I'll give it a go. :)
