I haven't mentioned my new addition to my tiny library of books.
This past weekend my sister (Elizabeth) came up to Lethbridge and we spent Sat and Sun together. We rented a hotel room, shopped, ate out and spent the evening just talking. It was exactly what I needed.
We hadn't yet exchanged birthday presence from January yet and so Elizabeth gave me this wonderful book call Rebel Women: Achievements Beyond the Ordinary. It's a book that profiles eight women that lived in Western Canada and flourished for the most part in the first half of the twentieth century. Ranchers, actresses, mountaineers, aviators, doctors, and writers. Oh my I can't wait to start reading it!
Sadly though I must resist until later this coming weekend to even look through it.
Why do school and work always seem to get in the way of what I really want to do.
Perhaps I should have just become a historian. Best of two worlds eh? Besides the billion more years of school, and zillion dollars more of student loans.... sigh.
